Thursday Gaming Thread
Not sure there's much exciting news really, more just a continuation of trends we've seen this year.
AC:Unity patch on XboxOne delayed and will now involve redownloading the entire 40gb game. It was DEFINITELY finished when shipped though.
Destiny community up in arms about new DLC and it gets lots of 6s in reviews, which are 4s in old terms. Minimal new maps, retreading of old assets, penalises the hardcore players and costs a lot.
Raft of new old gen rereleases announced, suggesting studios are struggling to stay afloat, recoup spending or develop new titles without going bankrupt. DMC and DMC4 join Dark Souls 2, RE, Sleeping dogs, Saints row, Borderlands and a bunch of others. Good bit of the Giant Bombcast about why its such a concerning trend.
After there being no space exploration games for decades, now there's about 5 due or in Beta. Which one are you most bothered about?
Valve pulls that Hatred game then reinstates it, thus giving it more media exposure than it would have got before. Its the Nigel Garage of gaming.
Miyamoto interview suggests Starfox Wii U will have outside vehicle view on screen with cockpit view on. Mario Maker will also encourage an online community of sharing levels and rating them.
AOB? When shall we do Game of the Year then? Here? After Christmas?
