Thursday* Gaming Thread
* not Thursday, but I got SLAMMED when I did this on a different day last time. If we had rep on this site, I'd currently be up there with the guys who post positive things in gaming article comments about EA.
IT'S SILLY SEASON:
GTAV is out for lots of things and is now even shinier. Every single gaming website over analyses its inner workings to figure out which version is best. I honestly wonder WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK ABOUT THIS SHIT but I guess someone does, as gaming sites these days read more like tech analysis spreadsheets. Anyhow, I'm sure that hanging out in San Andreas again would be fun for the first person mode. Would never see myself replaying it to the end mind but it sounds like a new benchmark for a re-release has been set.
Smash Bros Wii U launches. Online mode is still a bit unknown but general word is that it's the best Smash Bros yet and looks tremendous zoomed in or out in 1080p and running at 60 fps (see? WHO GIVES A SHIT WHEN YOU CAN BEAT UP SHULK FROM XENOBLADE AS SAMUS?!). 8 player smash and control options are mad. Never really got on with Brawl though so will wait to get this until I have some huge house party.
Captain Toad also comes out in Japan and gets some pretty immense scores.
Suspect lots of you are playing Far Cry 4. That's a game I'd happily spend many hours on. Can you still release animals from cages to do your dirty work? Loved being a sneaky bastard in 3...
Last gen Assassin's Creed turns out to be better than the next gen one, mainly because it's got more boats, snow and bears in it.
Little Big Planet 3 gets very mixed reviews, as does Never Alone. They both look really interesting mind.
Dragon Age Inquisition sounds pretty good once you get into it.
The cycle of 'is Pro Evo better than FIFA?' has come full circle for the 5th time. Word is, it may be...?
Read somewhere that Xboxone sales overtake the Wii U globally, estimated at 9 million to the Wii U's 8. Master Chief Collection also released to very little fanfare for what sounds like a pretty immense package (snigger).
THAT WAS THE NEWS.
