I'd been shaving my own head quite regularly with a pair of Remington clippers (can't remember the model no), but not too expensive. They've finally given up the ghost, so need a new pair. I tend to go straight for a grade 1 all over, so need it to cut well with quite a thick head of hair currently. I've got a few brands in mind, so Wahl, Babyliss, Remington again & maybe Philips. Got a budget of around £30-£40 max. Not too bothered about loads of attachments, the actual cut is the most important criteria along with price.
