Thursday Gaming Thread
Microsoft lower the price of XboxOne to £330 in the UK. Lots of mixed reaction to this, but the lack of nice freebies for early adopters now burdened with an unsupported Kinect must be a little galling?
Blizzard scrap Titan after 7 years of development. Fair play to them I think, if it was going nowhere scrap it rather than 'do a Gearbox'.
Ubisoft make their Child of light developers a permanent, in house team which is good to hear. They also say they've learned from what people liked about Watch Dogs and see it as a regular franchise to build on. I think some DLC is out for it this week in fact.
Talking of DLC, Nintendo definitely seem to be on that bandwagon as Hyrule Warriors and Super Smash Bros will have loads too. The latter launches in Japan on 3DS to big sales and glowing reviews.
Reviews begin to come out for Forza Horizon 2 and Bayonetta 2. Both pretty excellent across the board, with Polygon the only site thus far a bit harsh on the former (7/10, everyone else 8s and 9s) and EDGE giving the latter a 10/10, though sales of it in Japan have only numbered about 40,000 copies thus far and shifted about 8000 Wii Us.
I think there's a new FIFA out soon too...
