Finally plucked up the courage (ha) and will getting my eyebrows threaded for the first time tomorrow.

Does it hurt (I'm guessing it's a "yes")? Is it worth it? Anything I should be aware of? I've been told not to pay more than about £7, that's pretty much all I know.
