Thursday Gaming Thread
Well the biggest news was probably Microsoft buying Mojang for about 3 gazillion pounds. All the founders leave and say they were struggling to deal with the fame. Lots of Minecraft fans wonder what it'll mean for the game they love and Microsoft presumably get chatting to Hasbro about making some toys.
Destiny makes its alleged development costs back in first week sales to shops and is the highest grossing new IP ever. Reviews are very mixed with it puzzling lots of people and a sense that its a little incomplete in its current state. Reminds me of the reaction to Prometheus so far where its pretty solid and lovely looking, just not quite as good as everyone hoped. Been enjoying it?
Famitsu reviews Bayonetta 2 and gives it 38/40 but they're always pretty generous. Hyrule Warriors fares less well, with it pleasing Zelda adorers and Dynasty Warrior fanatics but boring everyone else.
Silent Hill concept trailer emerges and presumably looks terrifying.
Good week for independents on Wii U. Several new games previewed, a few new ports coming of great PC titles and Shinen show a shot of FAST racing neo which, if in game, looks like the spiritual heir to WipEout.
Good thread here too if you missed it about your own personal gaming timeline: http://drownedinsound.com/community/boards/social/4453920
