So I'm trying to read Ethics by Spinoza and it's kind of torturous. I was recommended him by someone and it's pretty much my first dabble with any kind of philosophy.

How did you start? It took me about a month on and off just to read the introduction. I don't even understand the definitions trying to clarify meanings.

I read a fair bit but this completely befuddles me. 'Infinite', 'time', 'mode', 'nature', 'existence', 'attribute'- I will be cursing these words in my sleep.

Fucking hell Spinoza.
