Advice - the right thing to do
Ok, so a colleague has sent an email to the whole dept. where he, innocently enough, patronises me a bit. "Elaina - you can volunteer (but it maybe hard for you to follow)"
Now, English is not his first language and he always makes gaffes like this and gets a bollocking from his managers, they are a bit exasperated with him at the moment. I like him and I know for sure it's just a cultural thing and he's really trying hard to stop.
I really want to reply with something about him being so brilliant that I'm sure he'll even be able to make an airhead like me understand as I know my other colleagues will find it hilarious, but I don't want to get him in trouble.
I've already had 1 colleague make a comment to me about him being a cheeky fucker. Do you think the reply will diffuse it or bring more attention to it and make his managers get even more irritated?
