Help please; I'm wanting to do a big-ish walk one weekend soon, somewhere around England. My plan is to travel from London on the Friday night and then start early Saturday, walk all day then maybe stop over somewhere Saturday night and then maybe a bit more walking on Sunday before getting a train home.

I don't really want a circular route, walking between towns/villages or cities is what I'm after. I did something similar last year between Eastbourne and Brighton.

Can anyone recommend anything? Also feel free to pop in any hilarious walking anecdotes.
