Toaster? No problem. Spend a long time staring at it, willing the toast to pop.

Kettle though, with exceptions, most of them look very similar. Some have a distinct light or something, but if I had to identify my kettle amongst five other similar kettles, I think there's a strong chance I'd pick the wrong kettle.
