i like the idea of a married couple sharing a surname, but obvs the woman taking the mans name is well patriachal, everyone with a double barreled surname sounds like either an eton alumnus or an accountancy firm, and my name ends in an s and my girlfriends surname begins with a soft 'ch' so if i took hers it would sound like a shit sean connery impression. so if i do get married we'll almost certainly keep our own surnames. what are your views DiS? and, of the married folk here, what did y'all do?
