Watching that documentary about him on my commute today. It's made me reflect on a lot of aspects of the story. Essentially, I think in 1995, if he hadn't doped, he wouldn't have been able to compete, because it was so widespread. And his achievements are still pretty insane, even with all the drugs he was on.

He comes across as a pretty gigantic bellend at times in the film, but I can't help feeling he didn't have much choice in doing what he did, and the public shaming was all a little bit much.
