I know some people have been posting about it in the Fuck the Police thread, but thought it was worthy of its own dedicated thread. Can't find a great piece summing it up, but in essence, an unarmed, black teenager was shot dead by police last week, and subsequent protests have been growing increasingly violent (according to the police) and met with growing violence from the police force (not in dispute). Now the army are moving in:

The whole thing is terrifying and horrible, and I'm scared to see what happens next.
