Obviously you need to be able to:

a) pull someone up to safety when they're dangling over a sheer drop, often with just the strength of one arm.

b) get out of a vehicle underwater, hold your breath for bloody ages and be able to see in pitch black water

c) be able to get *it* straight in to the love interest with out any fumbling about or embarassed apologies.
