So I'm prob going to sign this contract to be an associate of this consultancy, doing 5 days a year new business stuff for them, and then any business I bring in I will also work on that project.

Bit worried that the following paragraph basically states that ANY business that I find independent of them should be offered to them first - ie I will be in breach of contract if I take on any work in their field without them knowing about it or having first option on it.

2.2 You shall use your best endeavours to promote the interests of XXX and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing you undertake to XXX that during the term of this Agreement you shall take all reasonable steps to offer (or cause to be offered) to XXX any opportunities which you become aware of during that term which relate to the business of XXX as soon as practicable after the same shall have come to your knowledge and in any event before the same shall have been offered by you (or caused by you to be offered) to any other party.
