Japan, immigration, population...
I really liked how culturally and racially homogenous it was.
Obviously thousands of subcultures within that, and there's plenty of western influence - but the whole experience was definitely Japanese.
Am I J-racist?
Apparently the ethnic make up of Japan is 98.5% Japanese, with Korean being the next largest group at 0.5%
In resisting immigration, and with slow birth rates, Japan lost 0.25 million from its population last year, and by 2060 40% of the population will be over 65. Surely a recipe for a state going bust.
I don't really have a specific point for discussion, as there's lots of meaty subjects here.
I mainly like Japan.
