Not the fruit, the action of going out with someone.

Have any of you planned really good dates? As in a day of activities or something? All I hear about lately are the usual dinners or drinks out, would you find it weird if someone planned an elaborate date and do you ever bring like flowers or something? I think the best/weirdest thing I ever got on a date was homemade scones and lemon curd.
