someone at a party last night said he'd be earning 50k a year with one in a couple years time after work experience, but he's only 21/22 (same age as me).

do accountancy degrees really pay off that well? only asking because i'm jealous, and 50k a year seems like a lot of money for someone in their early 20s to be earning.
