Was just writing a story about how to help venues from being shutdown http://drownedinsound.com/news/4147807-gig-lovers--help-save-british-venues and it got me thinking about how much I miss the Astoria - especially as the best venue of that size now is Koko, which always makes the bands I like sound terrible or get talked all over. Maybe it wasn't as good as I remember but I did love the Astoria.
