I'm a bit confused, because I can understand that some people don't like immigration being called European, but I don't understand why they wouldn't want a safety net of the European court, (DO they want out of the european court too?).

Other things I dont understand are why people dont think that having one foot in europe and one outside, is useful? Surely it allows us to be a conduit into and out of europe that we get a lot of benefit from?
Surely we are in the 'sweet spot'

If we are taken 'out of europe' then would Japan want to base car manufacturing here? (I thought perhaps it helped with their sales quotas in Yurp)

Im really quite confused by UKIP.

I understand that many people are told that Yurp rules and regs hold back the UK business, but (from when I was working in Belgium) it seems that the UK applies some of the european guidelines and restrictions far more strictly that does other European countries.

There is also an awful lot of pure invented fibs about european restrictions and bans, that the media have bandied about, can I ask, in the light of UKIP doing so well, if the Media can be held to account for ficticious stories that have probably alienated many British people from Europe?

(Sorry, but having a daily UKIP thread seems to be a thing recently. (Or has it stopped now the election is over? ))
