Thinking about setting up a savings account, but not sure if I should bother - would only be putting in a small amount each month (£20, £50, maybe more if possible but lets be realistic), ideally I wouldn't want it to be untouchable in case I need it for some emergency, but I'm imagining with those provisos there's no account with any interest rate worth looking at. Might as well put it under the mattress, right? I'm with Barclays for my current account/credit card if that makes a difference.
