The reason we want to raise funds is because we need new premises. We currently share premises with a homeless day centre - we want to be able to have our own space so we can give people more help - help sort out their benefit problems, teach cooking skills, maybe even run a social enterprise / community café thing. Trying to do something beyond just handing out tins of food.

Here's the slightly odd idea:

We make a calendar. We call it "Bean Abroad". The idea is that those of you who (a) have nice cameras and (b) are going somewhere nice on holiday take a tin of beans with you. (In the spirit of the British tradition of eating beans). All you need to do is take a photo of the beans on a nice beach, up a mountain, on the flumes at Disneyworld... up to you. You can have the beans in the foreground, or hidden Where's Wally? style in the background. There's no money for you, but you get your photography showcased and raise funds for a good cause in the process.
