A 'third of UK adults struggle' to afford healthy food
"One in four said they hadn't bought a single portion of fresh fruit or vegetables in the last week."

Forgive me if I'm over simplifying this but the last time I visited the shops I left under the impression that one of the cheapest types of food available were what you would call healthy... Lentils, chickpeas, kidney beans, carrots, potatoes, rice, cous cous, onions, courgettes etc etc.
I fail to see how 'turning to convinience foods' as it says in the article is any cheaper (it may be quicker but definitely not cheaper)
Or does this opinion make me an out of touch wanna be middle class food snob?
