I have love film
Or Amazon prime as it is now known...and netflix
Getting physical discs in the post from love film is by far the best thing, because you can get films that have just been released.
I save so much money that would otherwise have to be spent on a trip to the cinema (which means all the way to london because southend odeon is shit) or buying the DVD as it comes out.
So this week I've been able to watch Nebraska and blue is the warmest colour for essentially peanuts.
I'll be fucked when they stop this, because it's how I keep up to date with new stuff. And I'm sure they will stop it soon. Why would they continue with the hassle of discs when they can stream everything?
Netflix more or less works out because it is so cheap. Even if I just watch a couple things a month. It also suffers from the whole paradox of choice thing. There is so much, you end up never watching anything.
I only ever buy DVDs now if they are cheap and I see a fopp bargain.....or if it is a film I have loved and I feel it deserves a place in my collection. Eg, I'll be buying I side llewyn Davis.
Fuck spending 12.99 on a film I don't even know if I will like. That just seems mental to me now.
Same with music. A purchase has to be a guaranteed like, unless I'm getting it so cheap as not to matter.
