Is studying for a Masters/PHd worth it these days?
My relatives who have masters go on about how having one has opened many doors for them.
But I'm getting some negative feedback from users of The Student Room who say it's a waste of time and money.
It's just, I would've thought having more qualifications means access to better jobs... especially now since having a degree alone is apparently not good enough anymore. I'm not talking about the pursuit of any specific career path, just in general.
Also, would you say it's bad spending a chunk of your 20s at university instead of at work, assuming you have like a good grant to support yourself?
