Yeah I know this has been templated once and I'm not sure if it goes against the unwritten DiS rules but I want to talk about Birmingham.

I'm a student there. The main university is a bit far away from the main urban area for my liking, and the make-up of Birmingham seems to be substantially suburban which is a bit disappointing (correct me if I'm wrong. I hope I am). Parts of the city have this nice avant garde European-ness about them, but other parts just fill me with thoughts of impending doom. Same with everywhere I guess, but there's something about living in the middle of England which I don't like much, unsnobbishly. Can't say I'm that impressed with the Bullring tbh. I'm not well-travelled, so how does it rank with other cities?
