Thursday Gaming Thread for those of us not playing Dark Souls 2
Amazon launch some new all-in-one console joypad thingy. Think the idea is that you play touch screen games which rip off proper titles on your telly with a proper joypad, so it's a bit like Hollywood making a Need for Speed film, which was a game that ripped off Hollywood driving films. Maybe.
Ridley Scott making some Halo Digital thing. Watched the Halo Tv movie on Netflix the other week. Was pretty good for what it was, but still fell several galaxies short of Neill Blomkamp's test footage which eventually became District 9.
This Mario Kart preview is getting me far more excited than it ought to: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/456888/previews/hands-on-why-mario-kart-8-is-fast-becoming-the-most-exciting-nintendo-game-in-years/
EA apologise for some April Fool joke at Nintendo's expense. Sure there's an IGN thread somewhere where 3,745 FIFA Fanboys are patting each other on the back for hating on Wii U and using the words LOLNOOB a lot.

Me, you ask? Well I completed South Park last night. Fucking last boss meant I didn't get to bed until 1am, THANKS. Thoroughly enjoyed the game in general after what felt like a slow start. Felt like I had done everything given I had no outstanding quests or side missions to do but somehow missed 10 Chinpokomon and about 20 friends somewhere. Did anyone find anything of note in the forest? Other than Canada? Clocked in at about 15 hours and for the first time in about 5 years, actually wished a game was longer. Would like to have seen those cut Randy scenes too, though the inserts were handled well.
If ever a game was made for DLC, it's this one. An observatory mission where you can visit a dead whale on the moon? A trip to Peru to lead a team of panpipe players against some giant guinea pigs? Assassinating a horde of ginger kids as Cartman dressed as Hitler? Leading Kenny and a team of undead zombies against Satan in Hell? SIGN ME UP OBSIDIAN.
But yeah, would just like more really. Greedy, I know, but it's the best licensed game ever. Possibly.
Also played some 2048 on the Android (that's hard but very addictive) and a good new little title called Smash it (nothing to do with Andy Gray) where you have to strike a balance between collected balls, smashing obstacles and avoiding others. Pretty damn good little game.
What game should I play next? Finally embark on GTAV? Brave Dark Souls? Return to Arkham and play City? Dig out RE4 on the Wii?
