Stand Up Comedy Courses
Hello people who are funny.
I have been attempting to write material to start trying to do stand up comedy. So far, it is going remarkably badly and I still don't have enough to do any sort of set. As such, I'm considering going on a stand up comedy course and was wondering if anyone here has done the same or knows of anyone who has done the same. Here are some responses that will pop up immediately that I have already considered:
1. There's no substitute to doing a bit of background reading of books by peoples like Logan Murray and gigging. There's nothing better than stage time.
2. These courses will just sculpt you into one of the mundane Comedy Roadshow types who are fucking awful and formulaic. You should be attempting something new, not just following the heard.
3. Your posts here barely raise a smirk at best, perhaps you should consider something like abseiling instead.
Anyway, even with those points, I'm still interested. There are loads, but it's difficult to get any positive feedback on any of them. The Amused Moose one seems to be the most consistently highly rated one, but it's just shy of £450 and I genuinely can't see what it would give you that would be worth that amount other than contacts. Are any others better or worth it?
I'm not expecting a whole lot from this, but am curious to give it a go, so any help would be great.
Not expecting this post to go well following TBO's similar one a while back, but thanks anyone with genuine help!
