Well, a bike. I don't own one at the moment.

I'm thinking a road bike, but I'd also like to maybe have the opportunity to go on slightly more rugged terrain, nothing serious and not often. Is there a kind of good cross bike out there? However, this factor is not essential if it can't be done.

Essentially the bike will regularly be used to cycle around camp, but I have full intentions of taking it off on big rides on the road.

I know nothing about bikes. I'm new to this, I don't need all the bells and whistles, but equally I want something a bit substantial etc.
