My trousers have got a weird little triangular flap behind the buttons. This little flap also has a button, like some kind of additional trouser security. Totally unnecessary.

I'm pretty sure really small elastic bands are unnecessary too. Just double over a bigger one.

There are probably other unnecessary things out there. Speak of them here, if you like.
