*I didn't actually see this in the cinema. Started watching it on DVD the other day, because I'd heard high praise and I like intelligent sci-fi, but once I'd watched enough to be confident it wasn't suddenly going to become a different kind of movie altogether, I stopped. I definitely would've walked out if I'd been unlucky enough to have paid to see it at the cinema.**
