I was trying to play Gone Home last night, when my laptop decided to overheat. So I've resolved to try and fix it, probably by getting one of those cooling pad things you can attach to the bottom of yr laptop.

Anyone have experience of these things working / not working / directly leading to a series of decapitations in the Midwest?
