How much do you pay for your contents insurance? Any good deals out there at the moment?

I'm trying to renew mine (contents only) but the majority of quotes seem pretty outrageous (£200+). I was paying £50ish last year, but apparently no longer eligible for that deal now I work full time and got a year older.

Everywhere seems to suggest it's because of living in a shared house, but surely loads of people in their early 20s must be in the same position? Any help or suggestions appreciated!
