sweet breads actually go really well with soups, stews, casseroles, etc.
as in the doughy stuff, not calves livers, which no-one's ever really eaten.
accidentally dipped some apricot loaf into potato and leek soup the other week and somehow it was really nice.
since then i've been experimenting with other combinations. the best being a cranberry bread with a mushroom stroganoff. also had a cherry bun with some pulled pork the other day and it was fucking phenomenal.
dunno if i can really claim to have invented it or not, but i'm certainly at the forefront of the craze.
i've told a few people at work about it and they're all nearly boaked, but when i spoke about it with the canteen chefs they got pretty excited, and one of them's French so...
