The highlight of the football calendar is upon us once again, for the 5th year in a row. As usual it will be an evening of gentle banter, glittering prizes and a surprise host. And as it is our 5th birthday party, there will be one or more rounds of free drinks thrown in for good measure as well.

As has become tradition, awards will be handed out in the following "official" categories:

1. Player of the Year: previous winners are Jim (2009), Edd (2010), Lee (2011) and Jack (2012)
2. Goal of the Season: previous winners are Tom A (2009), Dan S (2010) and John M (2011 and 2012)
3. Best Newcomer: previous winners are James (2010), Joe C (2011) and Manchester Matt (2012)
4. Unsung Hero: previous winners are Jack (2010) and Mark (2011)
5. Moaniest Bastard: previous winners Dan O (2009, 2010 and 2012) and Adam (2011)
6. Golden Boot: Bamos (2009), Dan O(2010 and 2011) and Tunde (2011 and 2012)

In addition, there will be an unlimited number of the usual "moody" awards, categories to be suggested at your peril, either in this thread, or in a PM if you want to keep it a surprise.

The voting forms will be sent out tomorrow via email (if I have your details), or via PM (if I don't) or via text (if you're not on DiS at all). Feel free to contact me if you believe you are eligible to vote and you haven't received a voting form. A full overview of the season with all relevant threads will be posted later today.
The nominees for best newcomer will be revealed tomorrow as well.

Note that the upstairs room at the Bloomsbury Tavern has been booked out for us from 7 PM onwards. The first award will be presented at 8:15 PM sharp.

The evening is open for all DiSers to attend, regardless if you have played/watched a game or not. See you there.
