hi, I've found a place that will pick me a nice tree, deliver it to my house, even carry it up the many flights of stairs to my attic flat. They will also come and pick it up in the first week of Jan and dispose of it ethically. (which saves me from worrying about how the hell to get it out without needling four flights of carpet.)

However, I wanted one in a tub. this comes just as it is (although most generously, they will sell me a stand for twenty quid. yeah, fuck that.)

So questions:

1. where can I but a stand and are they kind of universal? I've seen one in clas ohlson for 7 quid but it looks like an implement of mediaeval torture.
2. How hard is it to put a tree into a stand? bearing in mind I am small and fairly useless.
3. Do you think I could ask the dlievery people to put it up for me, even if I don't buy their extortionate stand?

Obviously I would normally be asking a Big Unit Real Man to assist with this but I want to get it all organised by myself with no boy help, so it is also maybe a kind of surprise.
