Weekend Football thread.
Following three days more barren of footballing action than a Stoke City v Stoke City game, League football IS BACK.
Saturday kicks off with the Liverpool Derby as the early afternoon game. Both Everton and Liverpool have been showing decent form at the start of the season, but Everton have the home advantage and may well win it.
The remainder of the Saturday Premiership games look like this:
Arsenal v Southampton
Fulham v Swansea City
Hull Tigers v Crystal Palace
Newcastle United v Norwich
Stoke v Sunderland
W'Ham v Chelsea
Arsenal v Saints is probably the pick of the above; Hull v Palace and Stoke v Sunderland have 0-0 written all over them.
On Sunday, we have Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur, two teams that have struggled a little recently. City's home advantage should count, however. The second game takes us to the City Stadium where Cardiff take on Manchester United. Cardiff can be tough at home, as United's city rivals have already found, but I still expect United to come out on top.
Sheffield Wednesday v Huddersfield is the early kick off in the Championship.
Predictions, bants, etc, below.
