A friend of mine is complaining that she's been declined a job because of her credit score.

I know they do this in America, but had no idea it happened over here. I would have thought it would be illegal/discriminatory.

Apparently it's standard for bank jobs/finance jobs, but this was a job in a shop.

Has anyone else heard of this?
