Thursday Gaming Thread
Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed 4 get very good reviews in general; lots of people smell rats after previous versions but the footage of the latter in particular does seem good. Slightly odd how much fuss about the gap between the PS3 and PS4 there is too, like it was a deal breaker. Essentially, the PS4 version runs a couple of frames smoother and has nicer lens flare, which as we all know is what makes purchasing a £400 console a massive priority (admittedly it's always par for the course until a year or two in).
You can buy some glasses that do something apparently. If anyone works out what it is, let me know: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-10-25-Ex-Valve-engineers-explain-the-CastARs-benefits-over-its-competition
I played some more Mirror's Edge and got to a bit so FUCKING FRUSTRATING I nearly smashed my house up in anger. I know what I have to do but seem totally incapable of doing it. Bastard red bar swinging on to ceiling gantry whilst machine cunting gunning dicks shoot me...
SUB-THREAD: DLC - who gives a shit? Can see little reason to ever want to download any myself unless it was a 4 hour campaign that added to the single player mode but people seem to love it - do you? And does it have a future?
