NFL WEEK 5; BIRTHDAY EDITION
Hello all, I turn 25 today, so if Baltimore (and Norwich) don't get their act together I'm just ending it on the hill
SKY SPORTS, 6PM
BALTIMORE RAVENS (2-2) @ MIAMI DOLPHINS (3-1)
When I first saw this game on the schedule, I wasn't too worried, how things change. We were pretty, let's say limp, last week in Buffalo due to refusing to run the ball assuming Joe Flacco is indeed an elite quarterback (he's not, it's still October) while Miami were soundly humbled by New Orleans away after a great start. Today really depends on how both teams respond, but I'm not particularly confident, given Miami's strong start. If we run the ball and get our defence firing, then we have a chance, but as things stand, I think Miami can take this at home. (MIA by 3)
9:25PM, SKY SPORTS
DENVER BRONCOS (4-0) @ DALLAS COWBOYS (2-2)
Can anything stop the Denver Broncos? Perhaps Gerry-world? MM. Perhaps not. The whole NFC East is a mess, and while Dallas will have some chances, it's pretty hard to see anything other than a Denver win right now. (DEN by 7)
1:30AM, CHANNEL 4
HOUSTON TEXANS (2-2) @ SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (2-2)
Last year, this would have been a battle of the titans, but as things stand it's a match between two under performing teams who need this win to kick start their season. There's lots of great potential match-ups here in what should be a very close fought, intriguing battle, but giving Niners benefit of the doubt at home (By 3)
MONDAY, 1:40AM, Eurosport
NEW YORK JETS (2-2) @ ATLANTA FALCONS (1-3)
Atlanta have been disappointing this year while the Jets have been quietly surprise packages. Tomorrow that changes, with the Falcons resoundingly thumping the Jets at home (by 7)
THE REST:
New Orleans Saints (4-0) at Chicago Bears (3-1) - How this isn't on TV, I'm not really sure. Some big performances from the Bears D will need to be strong to keep them Saints out at home (NO by 3)
New England Patriots (4-0) at Cincinnati Bengals (2-2) - The AFC North has gone from one of the strongest divisions to a total joke (THE BROWNS ARE TOP) (NE BY 7)
Philadelphia Eagles (1-3) at New York Giants (0-4) - Speaking of joke divisions... It's hard to see the Giants winning at the moment, unless they're playing the Jags. (PHI by 4-5)
Detroit Lions (3-1) at Green Bay Packers (1-2) - What is going on this year? The Lions above the Pack? The Pack are back after a bye week at home (GB by 4-5)
Jacksonville Jaguars (0-4) at St. Louis Rams (1-3) - MM... (STL BY 7)
Kansas City Chiefs (4-0) at Tennessee Titans (3-1) - here's an interesting one, though Jake Locker's injury put a dampener on things, but Ryan Fitzpatrick has some skills when he wants. Chiefs look pretty strong but (KC by 4-5)
Seattle Seahawks (4-0) at Indianapolis Colts (3-1) - Again, this game should be on TV. Some great stories of some young teams. (SEA BY 3)
LATES:
Carolina Panthers (1-2) at Arizona Cardinals (2-2) - This should be pretty fun, some great stuff on show here (ARI by 3)
EVEN LATER:
San Diego Chargers (2-2) at Oakland Raiders (1-3) - This game is at 3:30am BST due to the A's road to the pennant, shame the same can't be said for their flatmates (SD BY 7)
Have a good one!
