Might be more suited to the music board, but I stuck it here as it's more of a query.

Basically, I want to learn about Cage's theory/practice as part of a potential dissertation, specifically the aspects to do with chance and randomness.

Could anyone recommend me some helpful books? Preferably ones that don't include lots of complicated musical theory, because the final dissertation will be coming from a visual art perspective. Thanks :)
