are these not mere simplifications of our need for stimuli? our need for drama, achievement or communication? is the act of violence, the notion of killing, the eternal 1-0 scoreline - is this not a drug of self-affirmation that sustains us?

i think we've been culturally conditioned to seek violence as a shortcut to actualisation, and i reject this.
