I post on a certain popular motorcycling forum. The bants are quite strong, its like the anti-DiS - much rudeness is tolerated (though not indulged in by all), as you'd expect from a predominately male environment.

There is one S African poster that is incredibly racist and sexist, people roll their eyes when he goes off on one, but he isn't banned probably because he is genuinely into bikes and has never really personally attacked any other posters. He has a young daughter.

Now one day he rubs up another slightly unhinged poster the wrong way. This guy also has a young daughter. She has a Japanese mother (who he met in Japan dealing drugs or some such like), so the chap is rightly a bit put out when the other dude makes an anti-race mixing comment.

So he throws down. By posting a photo of his daughter.

The gist: "look everyone at my attractive daughter compared to the ugliness of our racist friend's daughter, who is inbred and looks like a warthog. Ergo race-mixing wins"
