Let alone a good one:

The other day I was in the kitchen at work, preparing my lunch and there was a lady that works in the same office as me that I don’t knows name, heating something in the microwave.

After a minute or so the microwave bleeped and she took out a packet of microwave rice, poured it onto a plate that she had waiting, discarded the empty wrapper and then started to walk out of the kitchen. As she was walking out, she met one of her colleagues that was walking into the kitchen who was – I noticed – also carrying a packet of microwave rice.

When they saw each other he immediately started laughing and pointing at the lady’s plate of rice, and started saying “Ha ha, I told you so didn’t I!” to which the lady conceded by saying that she agreed that he was right and that having a packet of microwave rice for lunch was a really good idea.

A good idea if you want to feel hungry again in about 20 minutes time, I thought.

Has anyone else experienced ideas that have been thought to be great, but are utterly atrocious, recently?
