Its all "Rihanna, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus did this and people reacted like this" isn't it. Are hacks forced to discuss clickbait-able names while trying to bring up issues close to their hearts?

Am I just stuck in a Twitter/Guardian/Vice/Times supplement bubble? Should I subscribe to the London Review of Books or something instead?
