I think I got some food trapped between a back tooth and the gum and it's a bit hurty and bleeds when prodded with a toothbrush. I will go to the dentist soon, but is there anything I can do in the meantime to stop it being so irritating?

Clove oil is just for deadening complaining teeth, right?
