Spin-off from the mega-drive thread. Was playing Streetfighter yesterday for a bit; used to spend pretty much whole weekends playing that as a kid. Something about fighting games, with all the individual bouts/rounds is immensely satisfying, with the adrenaline rush of getting nearly out of health and knowing that one hit could do you in, while at the same time you're never out of it if you can pull off a good run.

Do these sorts of games still get made? (I'm pretty out of the loop on current gaming). Tekken was a good one, with all the combos you could do with various characters and the kinda 3D (move side-to-side as well as forwards/backwards) aspect. There was another game with great combos - ultimate fighter maybe?

Any other classic games? And yeah, any examples from say the last 5 years?
