i've been eating steaks a lot recently.

obviously we don't need to get into stupid badge of honour territory about how we prefer ours cooked, as medium's clearly the correct answer, but in terms of accompaniments, what do you have with it?

sure, a good steak can speak for itself, but i cooked one in garlic butter the other day and it was fucking heart-attack brilliant. i've just had one fried with mushrooms and baby tomatoes, and again, really nice, and obviously steak and pepper sauce is a standard.

less succesful attemps have been steak & sliced apples, and steak and strong blue cheese. the latter's still making me wretch.
