Have you ever made a bad career decision (or one you regretted)?
Not talking about general job malaise so much (although, it's a free country, so knock yourself out), but an occasion where you either had a choice between a couple of alternatives, or you perhaps decided to pursue a job at a new company or in a different line of work or whatever, and in retrospect felt like it was the wrong path to take.
My suspicion is that people don't tend to regret taking chances so much, even if they don't work out as planned (possibly more likely to regret *not* making a change or taking a certain opportunity).
So yeah, is there anything to lose by taking a chance on something?
(obviously this is a topic prone to self-reflection/loathing, so any humorous tales of youthful nonsense jobs might give the thread a bit of balance)
