First day at my new job tomorrow. I'm nervous and excited.

What have your first days been like? Are you a get-stuck-in and pretend to be confident kind of person? Do you initiate conversation with your new desk/cubicle/area mates, or bide your time and wait to leap into one when the timing is exactly right?
Do you remember everyone's name as you get introduced to 400 colleagues around the building?
Did the middle aged women in finance get all gooey when they saw your young strapping frame stride onto their floor?
